This month, we give a warm welcome to Richard Hayes, CEO of The Perth Mint. Richard emigrated to Australia from Zimbabwe in 1987 and held a number of management roles with Boral Ltd, Golden West Refining Corporation Ltd, AGR Joint Venture and AGR Matthey before joining the Corporation as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO in March 2003. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Gold Corporation in 2015.
In addition to his work with The Perth Mint, Richard is a member of the Board of Governors of Wesley College and serves as Chairman of the Gold Industry Group, a body established to bring together, strengthen and promote the gold industry. He also actively contributes to the Western Australian community as a Director of disability service organization Interchange Incorporated.
